Cambridge Film Festival

The Cambridge Film Trust is a registered charity that fosters film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge, across the Eastern region and throughout the UK.

They believe passionately in the power of film as a medium that can change lives and make the world a better place. It can expose people to new perspectives and ideas, aiding cross-cultural understanding and contributing to community engagement and well being.

The Trust deliver a year-round broad portfolio of independent and specialised film screenings, special events and tailor-made projects, both in and outdoors, across the UK. These include archive screenings, classic film shows, silent film screenings with live accompaniment, as well as the prestigious Cambridge Film Festival, one of the most well-respected events in the UK festival calendar, which was founded in 1977.

Every year the Festival attracts a large audience for more than 200 predominantly independent and specialised films. The 2018 Festival will run from October 25th to November 1st at venues across the City. Once again offering the people of Cambridge the opportunity to be a part of the UK’s 3rd longest running film Festival, and to engage with the very best cinema from across the world.
